Winter finally came to Tennessee… And then it promptly left again. But I am still holding out hope for one snow day! So, in February I want us to write a song about Hot Cocoa (or hot chocolate if you prefer.) Can there really be value in having a few dozen different takes on this humble winter drink? I do believe so! I know each of you will inspire me to enjoy a sweet, warm winter.
Need a Little Inspiration Yourself?
Here is my personal recipe for Hot Cocoa. Go make a pot and start writing. : )
For each 8oz Cup of Cocoa add to a Pot:
- 1 Tablespoon Cocoa Powder &
- 1 Tablespoon Sugar
To a pot and whisk in:
- 1/2 Cup Water
Whisk and Heat on the stove until boiling, then add:
- 1/2 Cup Milk
- 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Heat and ladle into mugs. Enjoy!
p.s. want to take it up a notch? Add a cinnamon stick to the pot, and a splash of coffee to your mug.
